It doesn't matter how loud she cries
Her screams for help, never heard
But all that is known of her
Are the photos that remain
In the bottom of a box
Deep inside the attic
Memories from another life
The one that only lasted a week
Before it was overpowered with hatred
The one she can vaguely remember
Through the pain
And through the tears that she shed
Through night and through day
Through rain and snow
She has forgotton what it's like to be outside
She has forgotton what it's like to have freedom
She has forgotton who she truly is
Instead she has drank in their lies
She is so used to their stories
She doesn't know what to do, but believe them.
Screams of terror echo through the night
But no-one hears them
Her delicate skin becomes red from the pain
It's like a dark hole,
She has no idea how she fell in
And their is only one way out
No-one visits her anymore
But she knew they wouldn't
Not even the parents that never loved her
She knew that no-one cared
No-one knew
A single rose lies below the stone that says:
May you rest peacefully in heaven, sweet little girl.

The Man of the Sea's
I remember that bottle washed up from the sea
The note in it, the one wrote for me.
I unscrewed the lid to see what the note said
I rolled it out and this is what it read:
Sacha McGlowen, I know that it's you
And I have something that i need you to do
You can make your decision, I'll give you a day
And god forbid you, if you shall disobey
For I am the Man of the Sea's, the Man of the Sea's am I
And if you don't do this favour, all of your village will die.
I will send a wave which will cover the land until
Your village is a lake, trust me, I will.
You see, your village has been haunted
From the day I knew it was you that i wanted.
But your people protected you, they were too strong
Oh Sacha, I've waited far too long
I want you to walk in the water, let it cover your feet
It is then, dear Sacha, that we shall finally meet
I will grab you and take you down, deep into the sea
Where you will sacrafice your life for me
For your mum and your dad and for your village too
Come on Sacha, you know what you have to do.
For a minute I didn't have a clue because
I was petrified, I was scared, yes I was
But then it became obvious to me
That this was my final day, the last sunrise I would see
So on the night, after I had read the note
I got out of bed, got a torch and my coat,
And I walked out the house and I walked down the coast
And at that very moment I was braver than most.
I didn't scream and run back to bed,
What kept me going was the image of my village, dead.
Just as the icy water hit my toes
Maybe my mum knew he was there, who knows
But she pushed me back, protected me from he
I disobeyed him which made him angry,
And like he promised, the wave came the next day,
He made sure that my village would pay.
The wave killed everyone, no, that's a lie,
He made sure i lived, to see everyone die.
I sit here, years later, on an island, surrounded by sea,
Looking down to where my village lies. Dead, because of me.
I remember that bottle, washed up from the sea,
The note in it, the one wrote for me.
